can you tell me where i can get that hp calculator ?
or if its just a simple formula ?

Brian, i know not to push the stock turbo too high, 14~15psi was the limit i set myself + Nick also told me we shouldn't try to push over 230~240whp with it cuz it may die quickly. i guess we'll see after the engine work is done how much it makes @ what psi.

Do you guys know of anybody that dynoed with the stock turbo at high boost ? (12psi+) id like to know what to expect

yea... i'm gonna definatly find out what the stock turbo can do. I dont plan on upgrading it for the time being. 250whp would make my day. 10 daily, 12-15 everyonce in a while for s**** and giggles. I still wont push 15 until i have a grand in the piggy bank for the "my turbo ate s***" fund.
 
haha yea pretty much same thing for me, except i call it the "whoops fund"

i'll push it as far as it can go on the dyno though, we'll see after

Florida has no emisons test any more but if you get pulled over for anyting they will pass a miror under your car to see if you have any catz or not and if you dont they will ticket you for illegal exhaust if the guy is a prick and we have some of those down here.
 
Since we do emission inspections in TX, I can tell you the Haltech will fail here because it is wired in where it resets the ECU for codes at every start up. The ECU tests do not get to cycle and when the car is plugged into the OBD2 scanner, it will show an incomplete test, thus failing your car. If the stock ecu is completely gone its not even readable so it fails.

I see this getting into a manufacturer flamewar again. Being a dealer I have seen what works and what doesn't. Tuning is key and you should find a reputable tuner who knows what they are doing, no matter what EMS or Piggyback you are using.

Same as NY. You will now fail if your "readiness" codes are not set. With the Haltech wired like you do, it cuts the memory wire to the pcm.
 
Something new from HiBoost is coming regarding the Haltech and stock ECU compatibility. We are working on a module that will run the car with the stock ECU while idleing, cold start, cruising and the haltech will take control only when needed, like when there is hard load and boost.

This will allow users to pass emissions, if they have at least one cat converter and the second O2 sensor after the cat.
 
wow Juan, that is good news! What would it take for people like me running the E6X?
and what price we looking at?


EDIT: will it work for us with bigger injectors?

true, not to mention in the next 5 years there might not be any mitsy dealers to do warranty work with how bad they are doing anymore
 
hmmm now its time for me to jump on the bandwagon here really really late.... besides mr fix it up there, i think i've spent the least money for the hp i run.. 250whp @12psi, mpi tuner (w/e nick is charging these days 700??), custom full exhaust (220), intake, boost controller, hardpipes. and there ya go. oh yes, and the most amazing tuner the world has ever seen, aka JDM Sam. haha

i'll be joinin the 300 club this summer, mpi short block, extra injectors, mpi turbo upgrade, and a custom fmic are all planned. maybe that mam tubular manifold...... sexy sexy

and whoever said that stage 2 srt-4, my friend has a stage 2 03 srt, and from a 30 punch, he pulls on me, but never breaks contact with my car up to over 100mph when we cut it off. his back door was at my hood when we cut off, and he wasnt gaining any more. so im not that impressed

about what? my build or my friend's srt?? cause if you're gonna talk about me spending my money, eat s***. and the srt, sorry but it happened. hes not the best driver, but he just didnt pull me
