245/40/18's + RX8 wheels

+1 .... im running the rx8's on the stock rubber till there gone then looking to 245/40 im lowered on the mscoil kit tho

No way you'll fit the 245 tires in there unless you raise the suspension again. I am also on RX8 wheels (stock 225x45) and I'll go to 235x40 when these tires are no longer good. However going to 245 will be pushing and you will certainly rub.

Has anyone else seen the rim's on the new RX-8 special edition? They look sick. Although they kind of have a wankle motor theme, so they might look a little off on the MS3.
Ya there is no doubt he will rub with that kind of a drop, just wondering if it will run in stock form or with a slight drop....
really? I read of many guys running 235/40 (+50) on stock susp setup. What wheel and offset do you have?

OK, we need clarification on this statement!!! I was planning to slap some 235/40/18 on my RX8 (18x8) wheels hopping that would be OK; NO RUBBING.

i think the 50 offset on the rx8's is key and allows the 235/40. I read a bunch around here that are running it hmmmm ?

INDEED!! I don't think you should rub with 235x40x18(not 235x45) on RX8 wheels. This is my plan when my tires give up. 245's will be a different issue.

no way u will rub with that set up....my 235/40/18 on 18x7.5 45 offset rub only cuz the 45 offset......u should be fine
I think the RX8 wheels are 18x8 though if that matters. Am I going to be the test for 245's? (nana)
rx8's are 18x8 yes do it 245/40 so i can lol

a few alrite tried 245 on 18x8 50+ offset ...it only rub once in a blue moon...

I'm in the same boat as you. I will be putting the Cobb lowering springs in next week. I currently have some rx8 wheels sitting in the corner of my room, i am just waiting for the stock rubber to burn away until i buy new rubber. I want to go for the 245-40-18
