235/40-18

[Metal MP5]

Hey guys,

I saw this size mentioned a few times while i was searching. A few said that it fits on stock wheels. Koenig is the one i saw saying that it worked but i sent him a PM for an update now that it's been a couple months and haven't heard back from him

Anybody else tried this size on stock wheels? He was saying it fit well and didn't rub but maybe after a few month his opinion changed. I was wondering if others attempted this and could maybe let me know what they think?

I am about to order some Kumho Platinum LX (going for longevity here) but if 235/40 fit well i might go for the AST i believe that are available in 235/40 and are really not expensive (like 95$ each on tirerack). really on a small budget right now

225/45 or 225/40 should be the biggest tires used for stock rims

sorry but that's why i asked for people who actually tried it.

I just got a reply back from Koenig and he's been on 235/40-18 for 2 years now on stock wheels and is even dropped on megan springs.

I ran 235's and I rubbed pretty hard under hard turning. I run 225/40 now with no problems on H&R springs...

was it on stock wheels too? I can't really tell from your avatar

what brand/model of tires were you using? I know some brands are wider than other for the same size. maybe you had some that were wider, or Koenig for some that were actually narrower than the size said

Stock wheels. Pirelli tires. It rubbed pretty hard just because of the thickness of the tire itself...idk
