HI, I have a 2014 Grand Touring CX5 and just picked up some OEM 17" wheels for the winter. As I'm starting to shop for winter/snow tires, I noticed that my selection is slim if I go with 225/65/17 or 215/70/17. Has anyone tried 215/65/17? Any issues with this size?

Thanks,

The selection of winter tires in that 215/70 17 may be limited, but fortunately there's a very good one available:

In 225/65 17, a quick look at Tirerack.com shows the General Altimax Arctic, Bridgestone Blizzak DVM-V1, Michelin Latitude xIce Xi2, and Pirelli Scorpion Winter are available. I have personal experience with both Blizzaks and the xIce, and they're both excellent. Obviously I chose the tire I linked to, and I'd recommend it. I have been driving Blizzaks for years, and dropping down a size in width and up in profile makes sense in a winter tire.
