215/45 16 on OEM rims?!

I have it on the stiffest already. Will some wheel spacers help with this issue?

it wont rub fenders, seriously. maybe you mean it will rub the struts, then i dont know. might be good with a 5mm spacer.you can buy them for like 5$ a piece non hubcentic , but its what i had with my fd wheels on and never felt any vibration it was all good.

And for the tires, you may have a wider contact patch, but i dont know whats the point where your tires are too wide for the rims . I would think you better have a tire that fit correctly than a tire too wide for the wheels. You probably wont feel any more grip with 215. Also, if side wall is too bulge, maybe it will move more and cause you car to be less stable...

if you want wider tires, buy wider rims.

In my experience, 215s seem to grip better...I know my patch is wider, and 215/40s have such a short sidewall, that there's not really any flex at all. Sure they stretch a little, but they actually look pretty good and perform well.
