2025 signature cargo cover storage

My wife totaled her 2021 so we just bought a 2025 Signature. It came with the cargo cover. Is it no longer possible to store this under the trunk floor like in earlier years?

Also there seem to be two rails for the trunk floor. Only the lower one will make the trunk flat with the two side pieces. Can’t recall having two rails in the 2021. Was this a design change made after 2021?

Seems Mazda calls this the Smart Cargo Memory System only in a 25 Turbo or Turbo Signature. I'm either missing something or the link is just not based in reality. So I can move the trunk floor lower or higher now? It "remembers" the prior "setting"? WTF? Please tell me I'm missing something here.
