2016 CX-9 2.5T False low oil level...Help

Hi all, 16’ cx-9 w 2.5T skyactiv. Low oil orange light on. Dipstick shows full. Drained just over 5.1q. Changed oil level sensor (one) and refilled 5.1. Light didn’t come on until few days later. I read to fill this motor a little over 5.1, so I added .4 quarts. I turned the light off for a few days and now back on.

Opinions on my next move? Maybe the 8” wire that connects the sensor to the rest of the harness?

Thanks in advance!

not much help, but if you check the manual, you will see that the low oil level light turns red when the oil is low, and it turns orange when there is a problem with the system.

So that likely explain why the light is on even thought the dipstick was showing full. I don’t really know much more. Have you checked for codes with an ODB reader ?

Code pulled p250f low oil. It was to my understanding orange light low oil level and red meant low pressure?

Red means low oil pressure (and the corrective action is to check and add oil)

Orange means there is a fault in the system
(in canada at least, i am using the canadian owner manual)
