2014 Mazda3 Arrival at Dealerships

I spoke with the sales manager at one of the local dealers here central Maine to ask when they expect to get a 2014 Mazda 3. He said that Mazda's goal is to have at least one vehicle at all US dealerships by Labor Day (which is 10 or 11 days from now). He also said that his dealership has three coming, and they are all on a ship now docked in Baltimore. Based on where those vehicles are in the clearance process, he expects to see them in about a week.

I would imagine that if a small dealer in Augusta Maine is getting three '14s, some of the big suburban dealerships will get more. If you are antsy to get your hands on one, call your local dealers to find out what they know -- and don't forget to tell the rest of us.

Saw one today at the dealership. Pretty much what I expected - nice.

One thing though - it doesn't have slide tabs on the plastic rail on the roof
used to cover anchor points for roof rack. It was I-touring trim level. WTF?

According to Cars.com, there are 566 of them in dealers right now. Of which 7 are listed as having a manual trans. That's a hair over 1 percent. I thought Mazda was the enthusiast's brand???
