2014 Bose disapointment

I purchased a new CX7 touring with the Bose/sunroof package and was quite pleased with it. I purchased a new 2014 with the same package and found. 1. A single disk player instead of a 6 disk. 2. One level of sound level increase to match road/wind noise vs about three in the CX7. There appears to be no volume leveling when going from one FM station to another and the CX7 had this. The sound quality appears to be about the same but, really dissatisfied with Mazda dumbing-down the features. Ed

That's how they meet those price points right? If it had everything, it would be a "luxury" SUV

To me, it's mainly the designers' poor choice and bad decision-making for CX-5 from Mazda. For example, they did some changes on Bose system for 2016 CX-5 basically following new Mazda6's 11-speaker Bose. But for some reason they deleted two important directional 1" tweeters which Mazda6 has. This makes high notes disappearing as there are only three 3" mid-range Twiddler speakers in front dash and two 9" Nd woofers in front doors. These missing tweeters which are conveniently located underneath the side dash speaker grills on Mazda6 could have been easily adapted from the same design with the minimum cost into the 2016 CX-5.

1" tweeter hidden beneath side dash speaker grill on Mazda6:

Even the cheaper version 7-speaker Bose system on new CX-3 comes with two dash tweeters and a spare-tire sub-woofer!
