With the last of the 2013 Mazdaspeed3's selling away quickly, and no replacement in sight, I decided that NOW was time to act!

When I first started driving, I started out in Mazda's original hot hatch, the 1980 RWD MAZDA GLC SPORT! Yes it was only ~70hp, but it had the bones of an RX7, and man I was hooked! At the same time I was learning to drive, the new 4wd MAZDA 323GTX's were in the dealer showroom, and I can remember drooling over the digital dash, fuel injection, turbo, and big bolstered seats. It was bad timing, because as a new driver, my insurance rates would have been through the roof. I promised myself..."someday...", and when the Mazdaspeed3 came out in 2007, I wanted one bad, however I had recently purchased the 2006 Mazda5 Van, so it was not to be.

Over the last 25 years I have had the opportunity to enjoy a few of Mazda's greats, such as the 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE, 1987 RX-7 Turbo II, 1988 626 GT Turbo, a couple 92' Miata's, and a 1993 MX-3 V-6. I have a love for the uncommon, the unconventional, and the passionate car producer, which is why I still love my Mazda's, and why tonight there will finally be a 2013 MS3 in my driveway.(naughty)

Would you believe it if I said that I went to the dealer to pick up a 2013 Mazdaspeed3, and came home with a 2014 Mazda3 GT...?

I drove the Mazdaspeed3 again, and came to the conclusion that the car is absolutely phenomenal, and made me grin from ear to ear. (I did not like the black wheels!)

I drove the 2014 Mazda3 GT and realized that I can be happy with 110 less horsepower, but 50% better fuel economy.

Well, that's a switch. Enjoy the Gen 3! Personally,I love the black wheels on the MS3 and wish I had them on mine.

+1
I love the dark wheels. I am patiently waiting to purchase a MS3, trying to hold off until after winter, but it's hard...

There probably won't be any available this winter.

Nope, the last of the 2013's are trickling away now.... Good luck!

In my area they can be had for $4k off MSRP! (attn)

There is no 2014 Mazdaspeed3 Model... and there is yet to hear of a possible 2015 model...

Sorry, I meant to say I am waiting to buy a used MS3, there are a few 2012's available within a 50 mile radius of me. The one I was about to buy 2 weeks ago was just lowered almost 1k. It's a 2012 touring with tech package, 20k miles asking 20k and change.
I may have to jump on that.

OK so I didn't wait until after winter, picked this up last night
