Hey All,

I've been looking around at suspension options for the 5, but not much seems to be available quite yet for the new 2012s.

Has anyone tried or seen if the earlier model suspension parts, brake parts etc.. will fit the 2012 chassis? I assume any new gen M3 parts should fit but I haven't seen any confirmation.

The JBR sway bar fits the 2012 the same as the 2010, so there is probably quite a few more interchangeable parts. I just don't think this has been investigated fully yet since the 2012 has been out for maybe 6 months. I suspect that the chassis is identical.

Not quite identical. Just received a Racing Beat Rear Sway Bar as a gift and it didn't fit. The mounting brackets were about 1 inch too wide.(uhm) They were for the M3 2010+.

His fits all models because he uses shaft collars as stoppers. Essentially, the shaft collars allows universal Mazda3 fitment. I had to do the same. It's a good thing RB used strap clamps to hold their stoppers in place. I just cut them off and replaced them with shaft collars. I don't have a pic from my installation yet but here is one from jamesbaroneracing.com...

I see, said the blind man.

Why are the strap collars better, do the adjustable ones slip?

Considering the op hasn't chimed in in over 2 months, I doubt he cares so much about this anyways...

the strap collars are cheaper.

Are both the jbr and rb bars solid? A tubular option would be nice for weight savings.
