All is great with the new 5. However, about a week after the purchace I'm hearing a low pitch rub/squeaking noise when going over speed bumps, in/out of driveways, etc. I did some of my own troubleshooting, specifically; cut an old mat up and placed it between the spare tire and shell of the car. I thought it could be the shell flexing and making the sound. No go. Also pushed the car back and forth, up and down on the rear to see if it was audioable, no sound. I have an appointment this Friday to have it looked at. Any ideas what it could be?

Just got back from the Mazda dealer, after a through look-over they found that the noise was coming from the bushing on the right side rear. They said to monitor it and let them know if the noise returns. The drive home was quiet and I tested on a couple of speed bumps and driveways, all good 8)

Good info. Do you know which bushing, and/or what may have damaged it? (I worry about mine whenever I'm on a nasty road surface.)

Right-rear bushing and the noise was pretty much from day one. Haven't heard a noise since :)
