2012 MS3 with "Black MPS leather" option

So I was looking at the Mazda US sight and noticed that the MS3 now appears to come with a coplete Leather interior as an option, rather than the red dot interior. Unfortunately the site is only listing inventory with this option, while the website apparently doesn't have info on the option.

Has anyone purcahsed a new MS3 with the MPS leather interior?

Are you serious!? If I had known that was an option I would have done it in a heartbeat!!!

I see them in inventory too, but the price isn't any different. Is it a mess up with the inventory system, or is it a no cost option?

It's just the inventory system picking up the name of the interior for the new models... I think. I checked cars.com for all the 2012 models with interior pictures and they all had the ugly red/black pattern cloth inserts. Here's a copy of my window sticker showing "Black MPS" as the interior color. I'm guessing that's why they are showing up incorrectly on the mazdausa site.

Oh well. I can always dream... That's about the only downside of the new car. I wish they would just offer red stiching or something more tasteful. IMO

My sticker said mps but it's the ugly red s*** while my moms 3 has the heated leather

You could always have the dealer do it for you, cost extra of course. But the option is always there, for any car. I had mine done. Same thing with my wifes Mazda5. Came out awesome and better leather than factory.

Looks good, however would looked ever better with red stitching to match the counsel and shift boot

I have no idea why they kept that red cloth theme going for the 2013s, its really the only thing pretty much everybody dislikes about the car. They added a normal size GPS. Why not just use the leather covers from the regular Mazda 3? Those seats are much nicer.
