2012 LA auto show details on 2014 CX-5 new options

I havent looked into the sizing myself, but if its true that the cx-5's 19" tire size selection is limited to only those toyos, it is most certainly an issue. a big issue.

Non-issue, anybody can go to different sized tire like a 235/50.

But the 225/55/19 is thoroughly engineered into the car and even though they were rare in retail channel on day 1 of product launch, 8 months have since elapsed. Issue is just the usual internet hype, an issue in some peoples minds, a small issue.

It may not be an issue to you if all you care is that your tires hold air, but for those of us who like to have choices, get grippier tires, better in snow, quieter, cheaper, etc, it is a VERY big issue.

Yes, I do recognize it's a big issue for you. Wow, it's a big issue for you but you mentioned earlier that you "haven't even looked into sizing" yourself.

Like the only thing we care about is tires that just "hold air", lol.

Note: Check Tire Rack, you now have 3 choices of tires in stock 225/55/19 size.

So to reply to your concern about "if its true that the cx-5's 19" tire size selection is limited to only those toyos, it is most certainly an issue. a big issue.", it's not true.

btw-I own 2 sport sedans and my tire selections were made on criteria besides just "holding air".

Agreed. I see three different options for the exact size specified by Mazda on tirerack.com

Also will pick up a set of snows that are slightly narrower for the winter months. Not a big issue at all.
