Hello everyone,

I have a question for all mazda 2 owners, I am wanting to replace my turn signals with LED bulbs and i know it will result to hyper flashing but i don't really want to use resistors for every bulb. Now my question is, do you guys know where to locate and how to remove the flasher unit? I am looking on replacing it with LED flasher instead of using resistors.

Thanks

You want to use a led, with very, very low resistance to resist enough current to not blow your led bulb? What are you going to do, wire 2000 led's in series?

Go get a resistor. It's not that big a deal and is even easier to install.

jrosero....

The flasher is electronic controlled by the BCM, printed the pages from the manual, will try & upload them to the bucket tonight...

I'll confirm what cosh is saying. I've got LED bulbs installed everywhere and was also trying to figure out where the flasher was. When I finally figured out that it was soldered onto the instrument cluster board I just went ahead and picked up some resistors. You only need them for the turn signals and there is plenty of room between the body and taillights for them to fit.

Thanks for all the reply guys, i also got it figured out yesterday that the flasher is soldered to the bcm board. So resistors is the way to go.
