2010 Mazda3 News

Sure, it has happened where a toy manufacturer accidentally reveals a new car, but we don't believe this is one of those times. These renderings of the redesigned 2010 Mazda3 were posted in a thread over on carspyshots.net under the auspice of being toy renderings, but our colleagues from Autoblog Spanish did some digging and discovered that Mazda actually owns these images, not some Japanese toy manufacturer. Thus, it's more likely that these are actual renderings of the real, full-scale 2010 Mazda3. Of course, we could all be wrong and these renderings may have been made by a kid in his mother's basement, as the perspective and scale seems off in some areas. Then again, the design they show, which takes a few styling cues from the new Mazda6 and refreshed RX-8, is right in line with what we're expecting.

if that design holds true then its a fail on their part....the front is ok, but the rest is just disgusting...

I like it. I think it'll look a lot better in steel and paint. This isn't exactly the most exciting rendering.

the side of it is just horrible....how many windows are actually needed....

Considering the bland edition of the new 6 we're getting I wouldnt be surprised if the 3 looks just as bad...

There's only one extra little window in the back of the door, and the trim on that piece separating the two will no doubt be blacked out. It's not going to be nearly as obvious as it is in the rendering with that piece in white.

If I were any good at Photoshop I'd make this thing look like a real car. Anyone?

I like this rendering of it

but the ones you posted show a different looking side possibly, i dont know, it looks to long now or something...

Unless you can see a lot more of the side of the car from that rendering than I can, I got nothing. (dunno)

look at the rear of that rendering, you kind of see that the "extra" window doesnt seem to be there...

i dont know if anyone else remembers the rumors that the current mps would have the 5-cylinder engine from the s40, but clearly that didnt play out, so I wouldnt be surprised if this rumor fizzled out as well. I just cant see mazda ditching the DISI after theyve recieved nothing but praise for it since its release

Yeah, I'm thinking there's zero chance of them going with a bigger, heavier, less powerful engine. Then again, that same engine put out 300hp in the S60 R and V70 R, and I'm sure they could add DI to it...

If it looks anything like this, then I'm sold. If it weighs less, has at least 230-240 hp and comes in a hatch, I'm so there. It's proportions looks much better here than on the new 6.

It might be a little on the small side for 2 kids though. Looks like there will be a plethora of awesome cars to choose from in a few years when I'm ready to say goodbye to the P5.

yeah the T5 is a pretty robust engine, similar in potential to the bmw inline 6. I would have no complaints if it found its way into a mazda, I just dont think it will happen

Looks like the above renderings came from the European trademark office, where Mazda has trademarked the design in every EU country. It's looking like that is your 2010 Mazda3.

I put a team of graphic design experts on it, and this is what they came up with. I think you'll be pleased with the results.
