2009 Wrx 265 Hp

Eh.. i will take evo for 31-32k muhahaha.. next year. It really is not too much more. Im gonna feel bad for those who will be paying 26.5-28k for these car.

How so? If they can bring a 265hp, AWD performance oriented vehicle with a nice interior and decent looking exterior (depending on what you think looks "good") to the table with Subaru's proven quality, reliability, and resale value for $26,500 it seems pretty darn good to me. I don't know if I could afford it right now, but that seems like a lot of car for the money. Being able to put power down in any condition (rough road, sand/dirt on the road, snow, rain, etc) in any gear is a big advantage, IMO. If Subaru can now bring more power and a much tighter suspension along with the driving dynamics and traction benefits of AWD and bring it in a a reasonable price, then I am all for it. You can't expect all of that to cost like 23,000...

And last time I checked, for a lot of people, there is a BIG difference between $26,500 and $31-32,000...$5,000 can make all the difference in the world...

31-32K? My friend go and talk to a Evo dealer and try paying that price out the door. Friend of mine just bought one 34K OTD and this was done a state away in order to save about 1500 bucks. Then 26.5-28 will not sound as bad! I personally think the new WRX will be a great choice for the money providing it stays under 27.

It's all matter of timing. He could have saved more than that if he had waited a year or 2 longer. Dealers are desperate. And they will only get more desperate as times goes and us economy goes to more s***.

Shoudnt even be buying these cars if those people are that tight on the money. Hello credit crunch.

its my understanding that the STi and EVO are pretty pricey when it comes to insurance...

Damnit! Just called progressive and they couldn't give me a quote for an EVO without VIN #. They give me one for the regular lancer which is about $34 dollars less / month vs. the MS3.

Just visit a dealer website and source a Vin# there. They typically list them there sometimes. I can assure you the insurance on an Evo will not be a drop in the bucket.

I'll do this tonight and post the results here. Thanks

I still dont like the design of the new WRX, and the interior sucks. It would have to grow on me. That kind of power with AWD would be real nice though.

What does that mean? For most people there is a line of how high they are willing to go on a car payment so that they have money to go to ther places in their life. Most people have to draw the line somewhere, and that extra $100 could easily push people over their comfort zone or what they are willing to spend for a car...

Every bit counts each month for some people. There is always a line as far as payment or pricing for the average income buyer...

Well what i meant was that people who buy these car should be in a position where they shoudnt have to strain themselves financially to make the car payment. Our economy is where it is today because people buy beyond their means.
I understand your point but these cars are marketed toward enthusiasts and if they are financially well off enough to afford ms3 without a problem, that extra $100 a month shoudnt be a turnoff for what they get.. all around much superior package and higher resale value.

I agree, if your an enthusiast on a budget there is also the Honda Civic Si, the Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, Hyundai Tiburon GT, the new Cobalt SS or even the Mazda 3 w/ 2.3L engines, etc. There is a lot of bang for buck out there depending on how much one can spend .

i got quoted on an STi for 100 less every 6 months then my speed 3 main reason awd consedered a safety option

I used to be a dihard subaru guy unfortunantly im not likeing this one im not likeing the front reminds me of chrysler still and the rear end im not the bigest fan of the taillights too last fad. the performance of the car is better the hp is better the handaling still sucks but thats easyialy fixed with some better rubber. and everyone says the wrx roles too much and the suspensions is to soft you have to remember the car is subarus car for rally where those atrabutes are advantages. also have to give credit to a car that was at the top of this market at one point

good car, not for me
