2009 ms3

so my wife tells me there really is going to be a 2009 ms3, because they're taking orders on them starting next month or something. she told me she got the news from the forum she goes to.

i've been searching for it and found nothing so far

Perhaps she just saw it mentioned and assumed there was going to be an 09'

Just bought my MS3 2 weeks ago and dealership told me the MS3 was absolutely not going to appear in '09. Of course, take that with a grain of salt.

i think it's hilarious how dealers speak so matter-of-factly on matters they obviously have no idea about. who knows whether or not there will be a 2009 MS3.

I don't think there will be one.........if you follow the mazdaspeed trend the mazdaspeed models only run for 2 years.

personally i am fine with them not making a 2009. I own a 2007 and already want a 2008. All i need is more new features to 'justify' a new purchase

The moment you ******* buy something it's already old news the next day. lol! They need to just add all the fancy s*** from the get go and stop dicking around with are heads.
You know I could understand every 2-3 yrs maybe but this is just getting ridiculous!
What's next? AWD Mazdaspeed3 for 2009???

I'm going to write Mazda a formal complaint...(protest)

Here's a trick for people that feel this way about buying new cars.

Never buy something new. Buy a used car so there's none of that instant "off the lot" depreciation. Or better yet buy cars that are a generation or more old... that way in your mind, you're driving "the best the 1990's had to offer" or "the best sports car of the 80's", etc. Instead of being bothered by all the little things that aren't perfect, they become "endearing quirks" of a era gone by.

i did get mine used, and frankly i dont want to be driving something from the 90's or especially the 80's. I like my bose, navigation, hid, ect way too much

Surely my suggestion isn't for everyone. I was just pointing out that if you're the type that feels "cheated" every time the next model year of your car comes out, a change in perspective can help you feel better.

There are people out there that are plenty happy rocking a 1st gen MR2 or late 60's muscle car. Hell, I'd trade my race car in a hot second for a 1960's Ferrari even though my race car is faster... hell it's probably even more comfortable than the Ferrari!

My point was only that if you can't live with the fact that there's always going to be a newer/better car around the corner, just step back a bit and get in the mindset that you're not driving the latest and greatest, but you're driving something unique and better because it's older.

Yes, there will be a 2009 Mazdaspeed3, and Mazda3 for that matter. However, there is absolutely zero equipment and color changes for the '09 Mazdaspeed3 (for Canadian-spec anyways).

i agree...and i've always wanted an "older car' that i could just toy around with, like a 240 or mr2 or something.

im really jelous of my uncle because he leases a car every other year, so he always has an updated version. but that's kinda what richer ppl do. they're the ones that want to have the newest and better stuff, that's the only good part about a lease.

and referring back to my original post, my wife also explained to me that there will no longer be a BM color for ms, according to her forum.

and i showed her that revamped axela version and she said that wasn't it
