2009 Kia Forte sedan teaser pics

The production version of Kia’s 290Hp Koup Concept that was introduced at the New York Show earlier this year will be called Forte and initially, it will be available in 5-door form. Following a teaser sketch of the Forte’s profile, Kia has now released a second teaser image featuring the subcompact hatch’s fascia which doesn’t seem to have changed a lot compared to the Koup concept. According to the folks over at “Kia-World”, the Forte, which is expected to replace the Spectra (also known as Cerato in other markets), is scheduled to be officially introduced on August 21.

Yeah, if it replaces the Spectra then it will be a small engine. The profile looks like a small Pontiac G6 with the front of a Civic.

I'll wait for the real thing though, that teaser is teasing us (hah)

Bit of that in the rear, but the headlight, at least in the profile view, looks exactly like the new TSX's.

The good folks at Kia-World.net have brought forth a second aerial teaser shot of the new Kia Forte's front bumper fascia, hood, grille and lamps. The first teaser from last month showed a very sporty side profile, which looked similar to the KOUP Concept, except with four doors.

Now this second image doesn't show much at first glance, since it is so heavily shaded, but after a little brightness/contrast control in photoshop and further details are revealed. The top portion of the front bumper fascia comes into view revealing Kia's new H-pattern front end design as seen on the Koup Concept as well.

With a revealing on August 21st in Korea, the Forte, which replaces the Cerato (a.k.a. Spectra in North America), will make its public debut at Paris in October.

So I personally made some image adjustments.

It's very clean. Add some nice classy wheels, low profile rubber and lower that sucker, and you have a nice cut rate civic/tsx look-alike.

I little bit late camo pic, and it does not look bad, but I think it will be down to how it drives and if it comes with manual transmission. I've rented Hyundais and KIAs for work, and the engine is decent but the plastic finish is raw and the driving is completely bland.
