2008 MazdaSpeed3 - Grand Touring - White - MINT - Power Moonroof!!! - ALL Options

2008 MazdaSpeed 3 -- Grand Touring -- Crystal White Pearl Mica -- MINT Showroom Condition -- 7,750 Pampered Miles -- Power Moonroof (Yes, Really) / Navigation / Satellite Radio / HomeLink / Auto-Dimming Mirror / 35% Tint / Cold Air Intake / 18” RX-8 Wheels / Alcantara / ALL Options -- All Factory- or Dealer-Installed -- Total Cost Almost $31,000 New -- Asking $24,750

If this MazdaSpeed3 buying opportunity isn’t one of a kind, then it certainly must be close to it!

Why? Take the following points, wrap them up into one car, and enjoy (oh, and if you think this is pathetically cheesy, well… sorry, just trying to have a little fun with the not-so-fun process of selling a car!):

  • Start with a repeated bang-for-the-buck champ like the MazdaSpeed3 and clothe it in Crystal White Pearl Mica, arguably the car's most sought-after color.
  • Load it up with the Grand Touring package's Alcantara / Leather Seating, Tilting Xenon Headlamps, Rain-Sensing Wipers, Bose 6-Disc Stereo, Defeatable Traction Control, etc.
  • Then equip it further with ALL Factory- And Dealer-Installed Options, including Navigation, Satellite Radio, HomeLink, Auto-Dimming Mirror, etc.
  • But don’t let the factory limit you… go ahead and top it off with everybody’s favorite “I wish you could get it with a…” feature: a Dealer-Installed, Fully-Warrantied, Impecabbly-Finished Twin-Vent Power Moonroof.
  • And in case that’s still not enough, finish it off by getting the dealer to install new 18” RX-8 Wheels, a Cold-Air Intake, and 35% (Legal) Window Tinting.
  • Then take it home, maintain it flawlessly in MINT Showroom Condition, and make sure it’s always Garage-Kept and fed only with Premium Fuel and Full-Synthetic Oil.
  • And lastly, only enjoy it in its intended “3rd Car” role for 7,750 Pampered Miles in such a gentle-on-your-car climate as that of Raleigh, NC.
  • Oh... and despite all that, still make it available at an initial asking price of $24,750… or 20% Less than the cost of almost $31,000 incurred to build all of these points into one beautiful car!
Summing it up, I think you’ll agree that this is a unique buying opportunity that will no doubt make someone incredibly happy for a long time to come.

So why am I selling? After justifying its purchase by saying I needed it at home for when I flew in on the weekends because I had to leave my main commuter car out of state where I was working … well, that justification kind of went out the window when said out-of-state job ended last month. There's no hurry to sell, but I’m a reasonable guy who’d much rather hand this Speed over to one of you 247’ers instead of some local guy or a random AutoTrader shopper, so I’ll leave it open to you folks to make a fair offer and we’ll see how this goes.

One last note: I haven’t bought or sold a used car within my home state in the last 14 years, so I’m certainly not intimidated by traveling or working out long-distance deals. I’m always up for a good road trip, so I'll even deliver the car to you if needed, wherever you are… you just pick up the cost of fuel!

And with that, feel free to give me a call at 919-696-5511 or email me at brandoncook@euphonianventures.com if you’re interested or still have any questions.

The only other thing needed to make this thread legal is for you to add your location to your profile.

So why am I selling? i guess is hould ahve read everyhitng instead of looking at the pretty pictures haha

drool.... I want this car badly. Too bad, I still love my MS3 though. Is that a B5 Bi-turbo S4 in the background?

nate0123: Added my location to my profile.

plankton88: If you can get a new 2009 with everything listed for less than that amount, then please... by all means, you need to run, not walk.

babyface13: Had everything dealer-installed (though I'm sure they sub'ed out the moonroof install).

ms3acton: I'm thinking your mom probably still spoon-feeds you, but hey, I won't say anything since you said my pictures were pretty : )

parad0x01: Thanks for babysitting ms3acton while I was out. Hey, wait, does that mean you weren't as impressed with my pictures?

bigdaddy: Oh, just wipe your mouth and make an offer then. Your MS3's just a car... you can cheat on it. And yes, a B5 Bi-turbo S4 that is... still love it as much as I did new... 120,000 miles ago.

.....

Well, my wife read my replies and said I sounded like a prick, so for her sake and yours... Please Note: All replies were made in good humor (thanks for playing along).

This car is so tastefully done. It's making me think about buying a plane ticket and getting some kick ass BBQ.

I wish...too bad, Im only 16, and its tough to make 25K working at Cold Stone, and plus, im still paying off what I owe my parents for the car. My older brother has a brilliant black B5 S4...love that car more than anything. That car made my family go turbo crazy. First it was that for him, then it was my moms BMW 335, now the MS3....Nothing like the feeling of a chipped S4

Edit: your post confused me but I reread the OP.

That moonroof looks really clean. I wonder if the structural rigidity is compromised?

Nothing like the feeling of your piston going through your cylinder head on a chipped S4 and then getting the $7,000 bill. That's why I'm thinking speed3. Take it from me, you'll never be able to afford an S4 working at Cold Stone, unless you own the place. Best and worst car I ever owned, actually it owned me.

P.S. By afford, I mean purchasing it and keeping it on the road.(drive)

So "legal" meaning MSCAI?

How about a trip up to Toronto? This car is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for.

EDIT: whoops, I realize "legal" is referring to the tint - but still, what brand of CAI is it, I can't tell from the engine bay pic. Thanks

yeah, like I said, im 16 and its a summer job. My brother is actually quite careful with the car, and literally drives like an old man. Car has never seen redline, and he never gets on it. He is 23 going on 90. He did the chip, because it retards boost, and he likes that because he always is super careful with warmup and it also makes the car run much smoother. And, he didnt go with a GIAC or something that will kill his motor, he went moderate with an MTM.

Sorry for the off topic, end of story...

Since it has an AEM sticker on it, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's...

... an Injen.

booboom: Thanks for the kind words. Oh, and if you can get here before 6:00 tonight, we're having a family reunion with – you guessed it – BBQ, of course. Never had the first problem with my engine in 120,000 miles (119,000 of those with a GIAC chip), at least not the kind of problems that could be attributed to the chip, so it IS possible to get your kicks out of a chipped S4 without abusing it (and without driving like a 90-year old). With that said, it is indeed a high maintenance machine, although (fingers crossed) I’ve had zero issues of any kind for over a year now. A few sensors here and there, plenty of electrical bugs, leaky mirrors, a full suspension rebuild, etc. But all of them have been fixed perfectly. So while I have no problem understanding why people could say it’s the “best and worst car I ever owned,” it’s been a rewarding trade-off. Kind of like marriage. Every day isn’t bliss, and she does cost too much to maintain at times, but she still looks great, her performance remains impressive (wink wink), and I can’t imagine life without her. Yeah, it’s defintitely the most emotional relationship I’ve ever had with a car... for better or worse. J

bigdaddy: OK, you're right. You should be thankful for what you have then. Same here, by the way, I've been hooked on turbos ever since my first car… now 17 years and 6 cars ago. First came a 90 Ford Probe GT Turbo, then a 94 Toyota MR2 Turbo, then a 94 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, then a 95 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Spyder, then the aforementioned 00 Audi S4, and now with the 08 MazdaSpeed3 on the side. Oh, and I guess you can see which one I still can't stand to let go of – even after 10 years now?

olestra: The moonroof’s been installed since the day I bought it new and there have definitely been no adverse effects. The dealer let me keep the car for a full day before buying it, so I got a decent bit of seat time in it before the moonroof, and I couldn’t tell any difference whatsoever after having the moonroof installed. It’s solid as a rock. No squeaks or rattles. No creaks when torquing the car when entering a raised parking lot at an angle. Nothing.

farmurr: I bought the car during the period that Mazdaspeed wasn’t selling the CAI because they were modifying its design, so after doing some digging, I found out that AEM was actually the Mazdaspeed OEM and was already selling the new Mazdaspeed design that Mazda was still working through their hoops to release to market. Anyway, the dealer backed up what I found out and offered to install the intake with no impact on the warranty, so that was that. I drove it off the Mazda lot with a dealer-installed, AEM-branded intake. It’s also worth noting that I still have the stock airbox, which is essentially brand new, and that it will stay with the car. As for the trip to Toronto... yeah, I’m game. Just let me know when I need to be there! I’m actually waiting for a response to a PM’ed counteroffer right now, so you may just want to give me a call or PM me since I don’t sign in to read the posts here everyday.
