2008.5 MAZDASPEED3 - Now in CRYSTAL WHITE and METROPOLITAN GRAY

Man...I was dead set on red, now I'm drooling over white..

I have to make up my damn mind so my salesperson knows what car to hold once they come in!

Suburban Mazda, they had it already on order so I reserved it.

Which btw, if you're in the metro Detroit area and are lookin for someone to work with on a Ms3, PM me and I'll point ya in the right direction of who to speak with.

Yup. 10 hr drive. 2 MP3 Cds and I'm set there and back. Although for around town, hooking up your MP3 player is the better choice.

and you dont get the capability to control the mp3 player with the steering wheel/console controls

I guess I'm assuming all of us (since we're gen x/y) have MP3 players. Assuming you do, all it takes is a $5 cable from radio shack to connect it to your aux port (found in your center armrest people) and you're in business. Instead of burning CDs (which is tedious, costly and annoying) you simply sync whatever it is you want to your MP3 player of choice and hit the road.

The ONE downside (with the setup I mentioned) is that your battery won't charge while you're connected... meaning you couldn't go on a LONG roadtrip...

My iPod throught the Aux port sounds terrible. Maybe its a bad cable or something, but it is unacceptable.

One other reason why the MP3 player is not a good idea, at least for me, is that you have to turn it on/select a playlist/and turn it off when. I know that sounds a little petty, but when you get in and out of your car 4 times a day, it gets cumbersome to futz with the iPod. And if you forget to turn it off, you've got the charge it back up again.

Ha, that's me :) Same dealership I got mine from -- right there at 696 & 10 Mile, right?

Do you mean someone to work with on pricing/sales, or on repairs/mods?

For you guys that reserved yours already was the dealer willing to discount the cars at all?

I got mine for $24,037 OTD. Though afterwards, another dealer offered me $23,700 OTD. Both include the auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass.

The dealer is $300 more just got it in (got a call a few minutes ago), so that $300 savings doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I just want it now! Will be picking it up this weekend.

Did anyone here already took delivery of their 2008.5?

Pricing and sales. My salesperson has been extremely helpeful and nice with everything. Just in that aspect alone, i'd suggest him to anyone. I haven't even closed on mine yet, and he's been more than accomodating.

How was your experience with them?

As far as pricing, i'm getting S-plan so that'll help. Otherwise, no price gouging on MS3's.

wait so you are getting s plan pricing? do you work for mazda or ford. my stealership was trying to tell me i couldn't get the e plan for the ms3. but i called mazda north america and they said i could so when i work out my deal some heads might roll, i HATE liers

As I understand it... The dealer makes the final call.

I too have been told several different stories by them... find someone who will work with you. There are tons of MS3's on the lots around where I live.

Its to their benefit...Mazda is the one that pays for it...they still get their full $$

then i wonder what the problem is....stupid stearships

so pirana i see you have been in this threads...could the turbo wagon be an ms3???????????

I have been everywhere.
