My Mazda Canada sources have confirmed that there will in fact be a 2007 MS6. On the heals of the recent delay in the redesigned M6 from 07 to 08 they have decided to do another run of MS6. There will be no mechanical changes, but possibly some different color options.

What are they going to do with the 06's still on the lots?! There are 58 listed in the dealer inventories within 50 miles of me. Prices are going to have to go way down to move them in time for the 07's. Glad I got S-Plan and a lease rebate, 'cause I imagine there will be a lot of unhappy people who paid MSRP. And to think, my dealer originally had a $3K "market adjustment" charge over MSRP.

And yet it increases the chances of solid aftermarket support.

I doubt there will ever even be as much aftermarket support for this as there is for the Proteges. It's competition for the Legacy and stuff, not the STi/Evo so people don't care nearly as much.

all I care about is that I get one. And I can't buy one right now, so if I have to wait till late this year or early next at least the option is there.

This makes me happy

That's cause I live in the wide open spaces of Texas. If I go to 100 miles, there are 117! I gotta believe there won't be a 2007 MS6 in the US. Canada only got 500, but we got 5000. So maybe it just Canada, Europe, and other terra incognito.

We'll see... About 60% of our customers that have purchased this car were parents getting it for their kid's high school graduation. (omg) They won't stop calling me to ask about aftermarket support. Not saying either of us are right, but the traffic I've seen on this car have been more the "aftermarket" type. I think the fact that it's only available in manual transmission may have something to do with this.

I've confirmed this with my source as well. Good news for us Canucks at least. It seems when it comes to these Mazdaspeeds, the US always gets too many, and Canada never gets enough

Wonder if they'll change the wheels....although I've learned to like them now ???? Strange, guess if you look at anything long enough you'll start to like it.

I wonder why they do that. Last I checked Mazda was like a top seller in Canada, wheras here most people don't even consider them when making a car purchase. I thought I had read numbers somewhere saying that Mazda sells as many cars in Canada as they do in the United States even though Canada has 1/10th the population.

(bump) for good news! For those that think..."OH NO...EVERYONE WILL HAVE ONE!?!?!" Wake up and look outside...You know that WILL never happen (and for good reason)...It's a MS6 not a Honda toaste....I mean Accord or Toyota microwav...I mean Camry.

This will provide a larger customer base to help boost the aftermarket! :D

Thats what im thinking too. A better design in wheels would be awesome. Love the 03.5 RHs on the MSP though but I too have grown a little on these current MS6 wheels.

I sense a little sarcasm from you today :)

I thought you would be happy Newf!!

There are only two changes I'm aware of at this point. They have added Titanium grey and Nav system for Canadian models.

The desicion to build the 07 model was because of the delay in the redsigned 6. We will get about half a model year with the existing 6 sedan (hatch and wagon are done), the 'new" 08 model will be out early next year. Another run of Speeds makes sense to keep interest up on the outgoing model.

It's so sad to think about the current 6 as being an outgoing model. I should just give up on waiting for the Mazda2 and get a 6 :P

It was confirmed last week that the Mazda 2 won't be coming to North America for 07. Canada wants it, but the US doesn't. Mazda won't configure a NA model unless the US will take it too. Its too bad because the 2 would go over BIG in Canada.

I would import one to the states. I want one so much :'( the mazda 3 is far too large for my needs.
