2006 MS6 warranty claim denied. Next step?

I don't post much but after todays events I felt I needed to come tell my story.

I bought a MS6 about 24 months ago had several problems with it, from electrical, clutch and the car pulls to the right hard. After 6 rtips to Mazda and doing everything they said I needed to do including buying 2 sets of tires and 6 alignments. Still didn't have my pulling problem fixed so I contacted a lawyer, who eventualy got a settlement from Mazda and in the paper work it "wiped the slate clean with claims" I still would have my 50k miles warranty. So this past weekend changed the oil and noticed the axle and front dif is leaking. I have 400 miles left on my warranty to I take it in, they look over the car do find that my claim is valid its leaking but refuse to work on the car because it has a Greddy BOV. The regional manager said they will not do any type of engine or drivetrain work on a car with a BOV.

Have any of you guys had this happen? I plan on contacting the same attorney I have worked with before to see what can be done tomorrow

Did you keep the original bypass valve? It's a simple swap. Swap in your stocker and try again at a different dealer.

The blowoff valve has zero to do with the drivetrain. It does very little if anything to increase the power. I'm not sure what their deal is since they're getting money either way. Be it from you or Mazda...

****update****

Service manager has called me and I will be taking it in tomorrow to have everything fixed. He said they were making an "exception"

I tell you what Mazda is shady when it comes to the Speed's

well they just dont wanna deal with modded cars.. u should know better then to be going to a dealer with mods especially a bov/bpv

Lol glad you got it fixed but a BOV !!!! I can swap that out in 2 minutes.

Regardless even with the bov they would have a hard time explaining how a bov caused clutch problems / leaks.

its not mazda thats shady its the dealership. 99% of the the dealers will get away with this s***. Most people will avoid conflict when possible, and they wont keep at it after the first attempt.

When my wifes 3 engine blew up, I took it to the dealer, they asked what happened i told em and they said they will look at it, they then replaced the entire motor and all was no problem, said mazdausa wanted the engine so the engineers could look at it.. they had no questions and just fixed it, but the fuckers refused to give me a loaner for the week. one call to mazdacorp, that was handled.

I know its a BoV, not a big deal. it is still considered a performance mod and different from the stock system. Glad you got it taken care of though.

all dealerships have a bottom line and numbers to meet, instead of helping out their customers in hopes of a return customer they create a barrier.

you need to find a new dealership. you can even test a couple. you go in you say "i have mods, i take excellent care of my car and do tons of research, and i deserve propper care because im responsible enough to bring it to trained and skilled workers as yourselves, please look beyond my modifications as i plan to give you my business for the life of the car"

im lucky enough to have a dealership to where my mechanic owns a speed6, and the service manager enjoys being the one responsible for test drives and pulling the car up for me. when i got the short shifter she was very enthusiastic on how seamless it felt.

thats crazy. my dealer has no problems with any of my mods. althought i take everything off for dealer visits.

Mazda is shady as s***. Atleast the midwest region. The district manager refused to talk to me, everything had to be done through customer service reps or the service manager of the dealer. My dad worked at Ford HQ in Dearborn got me the number for the regional manager, and those bastards refused to talk to me to and would either hang up or forward it to customer service. One of the reasons I am trading in my car.

Another update.....

I have a voice message saying they can not install the dif because some heat sheild that protects it from the turbo heat is fried. They said I would have to buy a new on? WHAT? Isn't that on them it failed in the first place and has caused the dif to leak. So I will have to call them tomorrow and fight with them some more......

MY previous dealership in Missouri loved modded cars. They had a speed6 someone would bring in all the time with everything from FMIC/DP/chip, they were fine with doing work to his car.

All my car has is a bov and window tint. This dealer here in Portland Oregon are just being jerks about this.

You should bash in their skulls.

tell them the heat shield was just fine till they ****** it up.

He said that "It looks like when you had your clutch worked on blah blah......" Is this heat shield something the last dealer would have touched when doing the TSB for the clutch??

Type A btw.

not really sure you can just tell the clutch was worked on. they might have looked up warranty history. if you have not touched it, and the last time it was was the dealer you should at least bring it up

Im putting a corksport exhaust with a downpipe 3" all the way out. will that void my warranty on the whole motor? or just the turbo? and BC coilovers would that void the warranty on the whole suspension of just struts?

It's too late now, but you should have just tried a different dealer. I've got a built motor and a GT35R, and my dealer is warrantying my drive shaft...

It's all the dealer, not necessarily Mazda..

What dealer are you going to? Your making me nervouse! I just bought a $2,300 4-yr 100k extended warrenty for my 06 speed 6, i certainly plan on at least a SRI, TIP, CBE and maybe a better BPV.. I'm going to Herzog-Meire Mazda in Beaverton, OR.
