nice. i wonder what they did to get the extra power, it might just be bolt ons or something that you could do to the base model and get more power for cheaper.

they need an rb26dett version
The Z has 3.5 liter V6 engine(NA),why would Nissan downgrade the engine to a 2.6 liter Twin-Turbo when now the Track is puttin' out more hp than the RB26DETT which is approximately 276-280 hp??

the VQ is just getting massaged. the GReddy twin turbo kit is nice. and i think the next gen Skyline GT-R will have a twin-turbo VQ35.

The reason why they say that the RB26DETT is onlt rated at 276-280 is due to the laws in Japan. I think in Japan the highest hp rating is the 275-280 mark. The RB26DETT actually dynoed much higher.

its known as the japanese gentlemens HP agreement, where japanese carmakers made an agreement to not produce anything higher than 276 HP. when actually the rb26dett has dynoed closer to 400 HP

It would probably only be a gem to a tuner. Other than that the vq is probably a better motor.

Theres no way a stock rb25dett will dyno at close to 400. They were underrated but they dynoed at around 270-290 at the wheels. If it dynoed at 400 it would be like 440 crank hp. They weren't overrated that much.
