2004 Mazda Rev It Up!

i never got to see the pro run, wish i had. just to see a clean line through the bends and maybe how the car was balanced around the curve... everybody i got to watch kept hitting the brakes somewhere early. anyway i had a pretty good time watching people at the skill tracks.

were they changing the track because of the heat of the track or something? i wonder if they did the same thing in alameda. that would suck, i really thought i was getting more comfortable with that style of driving.

anyway if the pro did another run of the reconfigured track, what's the difference, the index run would still be the one to beat.
Yeah, the pro would come back and set the index again however the track got almost to the point where you just floor it and keep it pinned all the way around the track. Pretty easy for everyone to either come super close or beat the pro time.

When they change the track from when the pro is running 30 seconds down to 26 seconds you know it's even easier. That was just for one run, they kept changing the track all day. I don't know if they did this on sunday or not just doesn't seem right for people that are/were there for the competition.

If you make a track easier it's much easier to run faster times.

*shrug* it still was a great time (rockon)

chalk talk, tire grip, car control, racing line, track analysis. i wonder if they'll put those 5 videos up on their website eventually, after the competition's over. or put them on a DVD. seems like a thing they could distribute with every new car, or give away to current owners. real good PR.
