IM new to all this, and I have a 03 msp with 93,000 miles and it slowly started to overheat one day, I stopped checked everything, and oil, and fluids where good. ive since then changed the oil, and put a thermostat in ( after it continued to randomly fluctuate ) when im at an idle sitting the fans don't barely come on, even if its in the hot zone, and they will kick on when the ac is on, but it don't always work to cool it down. has power, aint looking no fluid, could it be the water pump? im not sure whats going on, but now it seems that every trip im worried about overheating. and as for the dumb questions, I have a cai, exhaust (with cat), turbo timer, and a boost gauge ( just says how much psi I push) and I plan on a smic, and aluminum hardpipes then to push 10 psi or so of boost would that be safe? and ho would I even increase my boost? wastegate, or boost controller???? Im new to turbo but understand them slightly.

Don't play around with your boost unless you know your car is running 100%. If you already have a boost gauge, you're probably running higher boost already. What is the boost spiking at right now? Stock is around 6psi. Goto a garage and have it checked out, saves you time an money trying to replace things and find out that wasn't the problem. Good luck.
