2003.5 pics from BC Port ?????

Remember way back when I was told something I couldn't tell?

Well, I was told March was the date they were aiming. This is not news anymore, so Idon't care anymore. But, I just can't see that happening. Today is Feb, and there are still Orange ones not finished. I'm guessing MAy. Which is fine to me, as we still have snow in may.

Pictures like those are confusing everybody. They're almost all underexposed, making the car look too dark.

Look at the pictures on the last page. That's what the color looks like. Even this RX-8 picture (which is probably the best of them, exposure-wise) is still too dark:

This one is the same car, but much darker (the titanium is not this dark.)

I have to admit, that sucks, but I don't understand. You got pulled over while taking the pictures? You were shooting photos and driving?
Anyway, its been a while since you posted, and we're waiting in eager anticipation.

Now, on to my analysis of the pics (I'm sure you've all been waiting for this...)

1) No spoilers and rear skirts like the 2003s at the port, but the 2003.5s are also missing the front lip.
2) 2003.5s are also missing the satin-finish flying-M on the grill. I'm guessing they don't have the rear flying-M either.
3) Only a few orange 2003s remain (less than 30 it appears,) and they aren't all done.
4) There are a shitload of 2003.5s there. In fact, I think that's all of them for Canada. How many should that be? 500? That sounds about right, since those rows are easily 25 cars a piece.

Yeah, that's always been part of the 2003.5 MSP. However, in all the press photos, and the other photos taken inside, they look almost the same as the 2003 wheels. I like the darker wheels. I hope it will make them easier to keep clean.

well, it looks like grey it is for me, and I'll just get fogs for it. I just can't convince myself that I like the orange enough to own. I mean, it's gorgeous, in the sunlight it has to be the coolest paint I've ever seen, but in two years, maybe 3, am I going to still like it as much? is it going to be to hard to keep clean? am I going to have troubles selling it in 3 yrs when orange is no longer a fad?

So, at least as far as today is concerned, I'm getting the grey. Of course, I have changed my mind in the past

It's great to see all those 2003.5 MSP's, both colours, and IN Canada. Now I know I definitely won't be settling for the orange if I don't like the way it looks.

In regards to some of your analysis...

They DO have the flying M on the front Grill. Thats one thing I also noticed, but its DARK GREY.

Look closely, you'll see its there... just very dark... not the same color as the grill, but a dark grey...

I believe you on the number of orange MSPs left, but I have to argue about the flying M badge. The flying M is molded into the black plastic grill, as well as being a chrome or satin badge attached to it. Having seen pictures of the cars with and without badges on the grille, and with badges painted darker colors than normal, I have to say that looks like the badge is missing. Also, the show cars have the satin finish badges.

the flying M badge is a stick on....

on all our stock grills there IS that flying M logo on the plastic honeycomb material( as depicted in the pictures above)... but a Badge is sticked on top of that when u get your car.

Man, those are some cool pictures! There honestly is a 'Shitload' of '03.5's waiting to get going....

Do you guys think that those are ALL the cars that Canada is getting? All 350 yellows and 350 Grey's? I think if i saw all 700 of them in person, i'd get sick of 'em. There's just too many.

Seeing one or two is cool...but when there's 25 lined up like that, that's just sick...(pukey)

Anyway, most people seem to be debating between the Grey and Orange, how come no one is debating b/t the Yellow and Orange? They are both bright coloured cars. If you had planned on getting the Orange and backed out, that meant that you wanted something bright....So, why not debate b/t the yellow and orange? OH well.....just a thought....

If i had to buy a Mazdaspeed again, i'd take the Yellow one. Sweeeet caR!

I think we want more than just a bright color, we want a unique color. Yellow is seen on everything from the Focus to the Cavalier. I still haven't seen the orange in person, so I might still all in love with it. However, I do like the fact that the 2003.5 has a unique look to it, while the 2003 looks very similar to the MP3 and P5.
