2003.5 pics from BC Port ?????

and by the way....I love that grey color, and was also worried about the orange getting old, or being too peachy and tempermental to the lighting etc etc.....and I saw a orange one at a dealer a few weeks ago and thought, this is nice, but i dont know if its AS nice as the black one i saw at the other dealer. But I stuck with the orange, cuz its one of my favorite colors, and it would be unique.

Now i have only had it for like a day and a half :) but every time i see it sitting in the parking lot or the driveway, I am 150% glad i stuck with the orange. It just seems to look better and better each time i see it....just my .02

(wait till i get my first paint chip/front lip and am trying to match the paint exactly though.......) :D

thanks for the pics.
I went and talked to my dealer about the 2003.5's and he didn't know anything about the color change. so I told him about this forum and he pulled it up. He said wtf, we haven't even gotten all of our 2003's yet and the rep hasn't said anything about the yellow and titanium colors. so he called the rep and they said that they will be here for the 2004 models, and that they are going to stop makeing the orange ones and only make the black and titanium ones. he didn't say anything about the yellow. the rep must think that we haven't seen the pictures from the port in canada. I think that I will show the new picts on monday when I pick my spicy orange msp. finally here not waiting any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIG THANKS to gujustud and digi168!

I think this speaks for itself:
What can I say but wow! My kingdom for a set of wirecutters! :D

The cars just sitting there, waiting for me to climb in... heartbreaking.

The pics that guju posted show the titanium colour to be quite a bit lighter than the pics that digi posted, but clearly they were at different times of the day. I love that titanium colour though. I can't wait to see it at the autoshow!

I like the darker rims too. The whole car looks very "serious" and businesslike. Very likely to slip under the radar, so to say. The orange cars are more "playful" and much more eye-catching. These are the attention getters. The yellow cars, while bright, fall somewhere inbetween, simply because there are lots of P5's, Cavaliers, etc. in yellow now - that seems to be the vogue colour these days. I do like the yellow, but its not for me.

The best part of these photos is quantifiable proof that if I pass on the orange, I won't be out of a MSP. All I can say is those workers better hurry up there, they have a hell of a lot of cars to work on out there!

Question: The cars that come into this port are only for Canada, correct? None get shipped from there to the US, right? How come we always get our cars before the US, like we did with the 2003's? I know in that case we got the cars released here early to win that award, but why do we have them early this time?

Ha-ha! Their Mazda rep is stupid. He should start reading the press releases.

You guys are going to laugh.

Drove past the orange ones a few times today....damn that's nice too. there are certain times it's not that great, then there are times it's awesome. I kind of like it more in one sense because it stands out so much. Just suits the type of car that it is.

Bottom line, all the Speeds are nice. it don't matter if it's orange, yella, or grey......they is all nice eh!

OH, and I watched the movie Die another day last night ( James Bond), was it just me or did that Aston he drove in that movie pretty much the exact same color as the Titanium's?

You mean the Aston Martin? Yes, I noticed the color was very close to the MSP titanium. Jaguar has a similar color for their big coupes.

Those Mazdaspeeds are all for Canada...we don't really get them, first it is just that they all show up at the BC port then get shipped out, whereas the US ones go to many port locations...

I was speaking with my Mazda people and they still haven't gotten there total allotment of '03's yet, and they think that Mazda is going to delay the '03.5's a little to concentrate on the massive M6 advertising/launch campaign for canada... so if you are still waiting don't hold your breath...the dealers are expecting the '03.5's till May out here...

many thanks for the pictures...it gives some of us hope..

The yellow looks like the Miata yellow which is not as vivid as the P5 and the US MP3...the grey is nice but I am going with the orange....stopped by my dealer on the weekend...still no news but when they get the car they are going to hold on to it until the snow is gone since at this point why spend the money on snows for a month and a half...

If you mean the metallic yellow from the 2002 SE Miata, it is the same yellow on the MSP. If you mean the non-metallic yellow that was available on the 1992 Miata as well as the 2002 as a special order, that is the same as the MP3 and P5 yellow.

Thats nice of your dealer to hold onto your car until the snow goes away (if it arrives before the snow goes away, that is). Which dealership are you dealing with?

My dealer has offered to do the same with the orange one. I haven't called and told them to take the deposit off of it yet. I'm not going to until I know for %100 sure that I want, and can get a grey one.

Since no dealer can even order a grey one at this point, I don't think there's any need to rush just yet.

I do like the orange very much despite what other people may think of it. I don't know if my patience can wait until May-June for a 2003.5, so I may just get the Orange just to end this craziness.

Wow, I was sure you were going to go with the Silver... if you have doubts now about wanting an Orange car you will have them when you notice people staring and dare I say laughing at you (it has happened to me, mainly people in their 30's and 40's that don't get it!)
