I was at the Mazda dealership today and I picked up a brochure fo the new Mazda6.
In the back it lists the engine specs and it's 4 cyl makes 160hp with 155 lb/ft of torque. I'm wondering why they don't offer that in the proteges/p5s? It seems like it would be a perfect fit since everyone thinks the p5 could use some more power.
I doubt it would take away sales from the 6 considering they're marketed towards different people. Similar to how the Xterra didn't cannibalize sales of the pathfinder.
