I’m gonna see if I can return the other alternator and get both the harness and alternator from the donor carCheck the resistance of the alternator and wire on the donor car, to see if it's the same as your car.
I still think you've got a bad alternator.
Maybe swap the alternator first instead?

So I replaced the harness unfortunately the guy didn’t have a tester on him and neither did I also my old alternator blew the fuse in the first place but I went through an disconnect and checked every wire in the harness and it’s all fine so I think you are right the only thing that could still cuase this to happen would be the alternator so I will talk with home tomorrow and see if I can get it it looked pretty corroded but still usable so I will see if I can swing by and test it or get him to test it for meOn my car the big ground wire is black leading from the negative of the battery, but the positive going to the 100amp main fuse is also black.
That's just stupid.
The fat positive wire going to alternator is black with a white stripe and the fat positive wire going to the starter motor is black with a red stripe.
That's stupid.
All those wires should be white or red.
