18x8 Rims...offset?

Hey Everyone-
I'm looking to get some rims, I see them in 18x8 and 18x7.5. The offsets range from 40mm to 48mm. The local wheel place by my house will roll my fenders for $45 bucks. I have also purchased the COBB stage 2 kit of springs and sway bars. They will lower my car an inch. I'm looking to set the tires/wheels out as far as possible, flush with the fender. Has anyone done the 18x8 w/ 40 mm off set?

Thanks,

Rene

dunno if anyone on here does or not. ask wheeldude (i forget his name) but he knows just about everything on wheels.

i have an eibach prokit and am running 18x7.5 +42 and am flush with the fenders with no rolling and no rubbing. 225x40x18

I'd go with the highest positive offset you can get with an 8" wide wheel. IMO, the RX-8 wheels are just about perfect with a +50 mm offset.
