07 Mazda 3 Hatch GT
Does anyone happen to know if 225/40R18's will fit on an 07 Mazda 3 hatch with a Tein drop of 1.5" front and 2" rear. I can pick up a good deal on rims and tires but I'd hate to shell out the coin and be rubbing the fenders out of it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

im on eibach sport lines with a 2" drop front and 1.8" rear. I know for a fact you're 2" front and 1.5" rear... but you will rub with 18"s when the wheel is completely turned to either side. other than that youll be fine. Rear you will be fine too. Im on 225/40/18's as well.

Rubbing 18's

Thanks for the info guys. I don't know what the offset is yet but they did come off a Mazda 3 hatch like mine but it wasn't lowered. When they rub, what it it hitting at full lock? Is there any need to worry about what it is rubbing against? I ask cuz I had a dropped Ford Ranger with 20's that rubbed at full lock but it was only the swaybar and it wasn't an issue. What is the optimal back spacing for running 18's on a 3? Thanks for all your input so far.

Im running 18x8's with 35 offset on stock suspension and they stick out from the fenders so far that I knew if I dropped it, there'd be more rubbing going on than a teenage boy left alone in his house for a weekend.

It's all in the alignment and spring rate really, and re-molding the fender liners if you have big tires. I know another MZ3 running 17x8 +35, 235/45/17 (tall tires) on KW's with no camber plates in front, with only 1.7 degrees front camber it only rubs on huge bumps mid-corner.
