17" Wheels on '08 MS3

tell me that doesn't look good

I got my RX-8 wheels on! I'll be posting pictures here in a few days.. Now to get tires here within a month or so.. I'm thinking 235/40/18 Star Specs.. Everyone agree on that size?

Yeah. Currently the OEM tires are on there.. looks a little silly slightly stretched out..

It'll work. You could even get a 245 on there if you roll your fenders hard enough. I've seen it done. Looks BEEFY.

Whatever happened to those pictures? Searching 17" wheel info, ready to bite on 18x8's with Hancook 235/40's but want the performance of the 17's more than I want the appearance of the 18's. I'm pushin 50 and guess the rubber band look for tires never grew on me. Good chance I'll cross or track it, only 20 miles from Brainerd International Raceway, but at this point not as concerned with how the combination performs at 9/10ths than I am with how it performs daily. Anyone with 17's please chime in with your experiences.

Ah! Sorry! I completely forgot & haven't taken photos yet of the car. I still need to get my star specs but I do have the RX-8 wheels on! I have one photo of it when I went to go pick it up..

Well, I installed 17*8 Kosei RS wheels 3 weeks ago, when it ended up snowing here and the weather became more or less good and above zero celcius. No rubbing or other issues, even if I turn steering wheel on maximal angle.

They are 17*8 ET45 wheels, so they match quite perfectly. Tires I got for them are 245*45R17 Yokohama Advansport V103. So far I'm very happy with disc radius reduction and tire width enlargement. May be the reason is that we have poor roads here, so for me making more tire then disc works like a charm. Yes, I know guys overhere who is going for 19", but it's a real pain... They have to fix wheel every month or so, because of the holes in the road.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - car looks more agressive for me and it is not so evident that they are 17" actually... Can post some pics if smbd is also interested in a way how car looks like on seventeens.

i have rx8s with 245 starspecs, your gonna need a major fender roll and have to grind downt the tab where the bumper and rear fender meet to stop the rubbing. just a heads up

I'm probably gonna be doing the 235/40 and I hear I wouldn't need a fender roll with that..

it depends on the tires. starspecs run fatter than most.

It's true but from searching around I think the 235s will fit on the stock spring setup. I'm considering Eibachs in the future so I don't know if that'll cause an issue or not since it isn't much of a drop.

MPS 3 with Tettsut rims

My beauty with winter wheels on, soon time to change (in Finland) haha
