17" Wheels on '08 MS3

I've been reading through threads trying to find an answer to a fitment Q, appears the 17" wheel guys have been following this thread a little. How about 235/45 on 17X8 w/43 offset? Currently no roll, no drop, factory everything. Pretty sure 225 would fit fine but would like to get that extra little bit if I can without any other changes required.

Have fingers on the keyboard ready to hit Buy Now once I decide on 225 or 235.

Those are unique looking. Kinda hard to see them at that angle but they look pretty good.

One question, what are those paralellogram shaped covers on the front bumpers in front of the headlights? Is that part of some sort of Euro-spec, headlight washer sprayer setup?

My 09 does not have these.

it depends on the tires. starspecs run fatter than most.

You were right. I'm occasionally rubbing when I hit a hard bump and it's taking a small strand off my tires every time, fortunately it doesn't happen too often but I do need to roll my fender a little bit.. how'd you do it? did you get a fender roller? I can't justify spending the $100 at SU to get a fender roller for a few days just to do a little bit of rolling..

Yes i got a fender roller from a local body shop. used a heatgun to soften the metal a bit and went to work. i still rubbed at the point where the fender meets the bumper, so i went to town with a dremmel

Yes, sorry for photos - when it stops raining, I would make good photo-set with my EOS.

You're right! This is headlights sprayer. Euro-norms requires xenon headlights to be accompanied with washers. And every 5th time I spray washer on my windshield, they also spray couple of times on headlights.

Alright. Maybe I'll call around to see if anyone has one. Seeing as we have these tires, I don't imagine springs would be a good idea eh? :-P Haha.

not without adjustable camber plates, but then again, do you really wanna look like a VW?

Haha. Actually my girlfriend is getting a 2010 VW GTI this week or next (waiting for the lady who bought her current car to come pay and get it).

Nah. I'm not planning on doing springs. Koni FSDs possibly though.
