15k mile maintenance

So, I hit 15k the other day.. Being that it's a new car, and I've never owned a new car before, I figured I'd do a little extra maintenance to help my engine go a long way.

First off, oil change! My 4th change since the 2 miles I've had on the car, and I've been using Mobil 1 0w-20 since the 2nd with GREAT results(oil coming out almost the same color as going in, 4k interval)!

Second, while my car was in the air from the oil change, I "inspected" suspension parts for wear, noticed a little, but hey we take corners hard in our cars, right?

Third, I checked all tire pressures(32psi each), and checked all fluids.. Everything still the same the day I bought it.

Fourth, I took my CorkSport SRI filter off and cleaned the HELL out of it, but for having about 10k on the filter, it was relatively clean. On top of that I took out the MAF and sprayed the crap out of the sensor with CRC MAF cleaner, AND redid my TB ground with a shorter 8GA cable and better routing.

And finally, I washed, waxed, and cleaned the interior to look like new again. Yayyy.. After all of this I took it for a nice cruise, and it may be in my head, but there was a renewed feel to how responsive it was, maybe lost power? Everything I did was probably not needed, but I had extra time on my hands and I felt like I was neglecting my baby for a bit.

So there's my little write up.. My first and possibly my last.

Peace!

Why did you do the cable upgrade to your throttle body?

Boredom! That and I re-routed it though the hole in the battery box so I could shorten the length a bit for less electrical resistance. No difference really, just personal satisfaction.
