12psi on turbo

man a lot of top end work for 250 whp. weld your diff, do a stage 1 clutch, change your PCV to the millenia S, do a FMIC, midpipe and catback, get a split second and a tune and youll probably get close to the 250whp mark @ 14 or so psi. if youre forged with a decent tune, you can run 14 psi... much more than that is silly on the stock turbo. when you get the money and time, go to 440s and a disco potato, maybe manifolds or cams, you get to play around with it until youre pushing the 325whp mark. thats when you really have to crack open the tranny and upgrade a lot of stuff.

Just for the record I shredded my 3rd gear the first time at around 230whp...just sayin.

That was with an 02 tranny with an open differential but with unrevised shift forks which apparently were a big problem.

The split second is the way to go in the MSP. that hasn't maxed out the 440s. THe highest injector you can run on a split second is a 440, but really not a whole lot of us are going to need more then that anyways.

Cough Cough <>Wrong

what part is wrong?? I'm guessing the fact that most of us won't need more then 440s since the rest I know to be fact.
to max out 440's your in the upper 300s and have sooooo much money dumped in it you might as well have upgraded to an MS3...or boost a 3sedan, but I'm just saying.

Probably the highest known

You said the max SS AFC can handle is 440's Id say 565cc...Higher is over kill might as well buy a standalone

and how hard is it to get the slip diff out to get it welded? do i need to drop the tranny and break apart?

no you just need a manual boost controller or electronic boost controller

and yes you have to remove the trans and break it open to get the diff out

i think im going to change my policy on standalone vs. SS from "gt3071R or larger needs standalone" to "larger than 440s needs a standalone". if youre maxing out 440s, you need a better tuning option than a split second to get the most out of your engine. its all timing at that point so running the SS is kind of lame. it works, but its lame.

wow running 565 injectors safely with a split second is news to me. More power to you though. I look forward to hearing further about your tune. If in fact your correct and successful there will be no need to really run a standalone.

where is the SMIC located? i was looked for it quick today, but couldn't really locate where it was? that if its even on the car

I think the 565's are just in there to give some cushion...There is no way to even come close to utilizing them fully without pulling some timing!

I'm maxed on my 565's with j&s pulling timing 1degree/psi from 10psi so 11degrees from my p5 timing curve at 20psi on a gt3071 plus 2degrees midrange from 3500-5000rpms.

exactly my point 20 PSI on a GT3071, and still with a 565s maxed out.
Most guys on here at best will move up to a GT28RS
