10k for trade in

i want to get a new car and am being offered 10k to trade in my p5. My p5 is an 03.5 loaded with everything except abs and side air bags.

Is 10k fair, or should i be asking for more?

it sounds fair, but ultimately it depends on the mileage and how much you still owe on it.

^^ agreed condition is also a major part of that. Mines a year older and id expect about that at trade in.

it only has 20k miles and some minor scratches and i still owe maybe 3k

I just unloaded my p5 for that. I had 40K on it. Everywhere else I went to check out cars, (honda and subaru) both offered me 8k. I didnt owe anything on it however

wednesday when i go beck to the dealer i'll ask for 11K and see what they say.
The salesman seemed like a cool guy, when we talked numbers he mantioned something along the lines that he wouldn't want to loose a customer over a grand or two.
