I cleaned and painted the engine bay when the tranny and front struts were out for the clutch and the suspension install. On that pic is quite dirty. Wait till I wash it and repaint the valve cover.

I have a Cosmo Racing CAI and I am still having CEL light come on for Engine running too lean. I changed out the MAF and still no success of getting rid of the CEL. Any suggestions?

Maybe you have one busted O2 sensor, or even both. I have to replace them in my car bec before the maf install I had a CEL for the second sensor, and now have the same code you are getting when I scanned the car again at Autozone.

sorry just wondering, but did you reset you ECU. Because you will need to do that. In order to do that unplug your battery and tap you break 30 times or hold you break pedal for 30 seconds either one that should reset the ECU and then you let you car run for 15 mins.

RX729 put the filter closer to the headlight.It will be a little cooler and get more air.

hey guys i got a 2.25 diameter cosmo sri only used for one day with the celica gt-s maf. if anyone is interested in purchasing check out the foir sale section. its for a 1.6 by the way

why did u go with the celica MAF on a 2.25" intake? the stock one would have worked just as well if not better. the celica MAF is for 2.5" intakes anyways good luck on the sale

yea i gotta drop some pics of my custom sri i made. i used the stock accordian and just cut the maf housing where it meets the airbox, from there i ordered in a 2.25 k&n cone filter, and it sounds amazing, nobody sees it comin till u really floor it

Well I discovered today that I have fallen victem to the cracked dry rotted stock rubber intake hose...

I did try to check on purchasing the simota from protephile and it appears he is out of stock at the moment.

I am sporting the duct tape fix for now... but I am wondering if the replacement hose is as expensive as I have heard?
Has anyone replaced just the rubber portion of the stock setup with aftermarket items successfully? (uhm)
