Gurly, well you know that park very well. I just checked out the parking lot that we will be in. Its pretty big BUT its not paved. It has rocks. Thats the only parking lot thats close to grills. Also speaking of grills, the picnic area is 165 feet away from the parking lot, so Im thinking of still getting portable grills... dunno. Gurly what do you think, Im talking about Pine Grove "Parking lot G"

well yea thats not a problem to me neither. I just want to hear from Gurly since she lives 10 minutes away from the park. Standing by...........

OK I just drove thru the park like 4 times and saw no parking lot G ( ill drive back again tonite to see if there is a lot named Pine Grove --- I have a feeling its Lot C not G ... and if so .. its paved with some tiny pebbles here and there -- no biggie, even for me. And if its Lot C the tables/grills arent far from the cars at all ... you can talk loudly and be able to converse from the lot to the tables. Plus, the tables and grills are all under the trees in the shade.

OK took a look at LOT G tonite ... the parking lot is fine --- too dark out to see the grills but we took a walk a bit and didnt see any -- Ill go again tomorrow during the day to see exactly how far they really are. At the worst, we bring grills like planned and everyone brings blankets and chairs -- no biggie.

hehehehe, grills are right by the benches (picnic area) 170 feet away, I counted, heh. Thats what Im thinking, not bother with those ghetto grills and getting our own.

Hey, I'll bring some charcoal for the grills (not enough for every grill, but for one or two). I'm also gonna bring my tools & what not for anyone needing help w/ mods, etc...

See you all in a week!!

my tool kit is always under passenger seat (smoke) I think we should be fine with two portable grills if we are bringing them

K sounds good. Since we will bring grills now, I will need someone local to bring grills, so we will set everything up early. Im gonna try and get the grill from my friend, well my friend will come with me so Im gonna try and get that grill (thumb) and I will get a beach chear! Also whos bringing a tent!?

OK just checked it out in the daylight ... the grills are only a baseball fields width from the lot. I think its best to just use the grills there -- we can always bring more to speed up cooking. Plus, the grills and benches are all in the shade which will probably be nice.

However, I will be bringing my 10x10 tent that I will setup between the lot and the grills to provide another "meeting spot" in the shade closer to the cars.

I will be posting signs Saturday morning with some arrows showing the lot we r in since its not very well marked at all.

Sounds great gurly! Alright then I will be at the park around 10:15ish to help you set the tent up, plus I got the permit so I have to be there one of the 1st. Ill try to get the brush to clean the grills over there.

Then in that case WE DONT NEED PORTABLE GRILLS!!!
