I do enjoy my p5 but I have an auto and can't boost to much so ill be stuck in slow mode with that car and the speed6 is a very solid base to start from 274hp 280tq awd

I figured a turbo wouldn't like regular too much. My father's '93 MR2 turbo get's seriously pissed when you feed it anything less than 93

That sums it up nicely. I actually feel the same way about the newer Mazda 3. Is the 3 a nicer car than the P5? Probably. Is it more fun to drive? Well, it is fun to drive, but more fun than the P5? Not to me. To the seat of my pants, I think a bit of the P5's zoom-zoom soul got lost in the translation to the 3.
I was lucky enough to drive one a year ago. Great gobs of torque, no lag, it certainly didn't feel like a turbo 4. It felt more like a big V6 or even a small V8. The all-wheel drive also eliminates torque steer, a real bonus. But alas, there is a cost to AWD: the Speed6 feels like (and is) a porker. Though it handles well (it is more buttoned down than the standard 6), it just plain feels like a led sled. You can readily tell that it outweighs the standard 6 by a wide margin. That's my opinion, others may vary.
Personally, I'd much prefer a gently used Speed3, even if it does suffer from a bit more torque steer. And even though it has a bit less power (250), I believe it is quicker than the Speed6.

Yea I've been looking into it speed6 is heavy but its in a different class I haven't driven one yet I'm just not sure of the speed3 I love the way my p5 looks and the 3 looks too round like a turtle I keep expecting to see a bunch of clowns to step out
