03.5 msp gauge cluster?????

does anyone know if the 03.5 gauge cluster will swap into a 03 msp? i assume everything is the same but how about my mileage, is it stored in the pcm/bcm or in the cluster itself?

it will swap just fine, but youre mileage is in the cluster itself, you could always open it up and switch out the gauges, its pretty simple thats what i ended up doing so i could have white faces on my lx cluster

Anyway, I don't think that there is any difference between the 3 and 3.5 cluster.

I have a 03 and an 03.5 currently in my possession and the noticeable difference is that the dials on the latter are silver vs black and the actual gauge faces are more of a metallic to me they are more appealing so I was thinking of switching them out but if the mileage stays with it then I'm not going forward with it :-(

i've owned an 03 and a 03.5 and didn't even notice the difference... even took dave B gauges from the 03 and moved them over to the 03.5, so i'm surprised i didn't catch the difference myself... i also have a spare speedometer i wanna know which it is from.

only difference i see is the part that holds the needles (silver vs. black)... not sure if i can tell the "metallic" difference of the faces... will check when i go home tho.

I thought all the msp's had the silver accents.

I could see it being ok on the silver but at that point it would have been cool of it matched the color of the car

Can anyone confirm if switching the gauges will keep current mileage or will the mileage travel over from the switched cluster?

I'm pretty sure the mileage stays with the cluster.

^this. The digital mileage display is part of the pcb.

You need to swap out the pcb. There's a how to on here. I even made one if u care to follow. only problem is I need to dig up the pics and host them again. Quite simple.

I can also tell the difference, the 03.5 is noticeably silver and the 03 looks like the ES/P5 white face gauges.
