I'm thinking of trading in my MSP. It has 7500 miles on it. Has anyone sold or done a trade-in?

I have a G-tech too. I had it in my mustang first and the quarter mile times are within 1 or 2 tenths accurate(dragstrip proven). However the horsepower and torque are off. I never weighed the mustang on a scale but the weight was near accurate. I weighed the mazda with me in it so we'll see...

I still say go with a cold air. I had a conical K&N w/ heatshield in my mustang and replaced it with a fenderwell kit(cold-air) and picked up 3 tenths and 16rwhp!!!

If you want an explanation for the gains read the Feb. 2004 issue of turbo mag. There are so many ways to see "false" gains on a dyno. The "big" fan they put in front of the closed hood is nothing in comparison the the air at 60 mph. Does this mean at 60mph you would see a gain of 13 whp...

sorry to jack this thread but what guages match our instrument panel the best( orange/red). I would like to have psi instead of bar.

you can't see any hp gains from a ram air kit on a dyno anyway. Maybe like 1 hp but nothing noticable. And the weight of the hood will do nothing on the dyno either. It's still a sweet hood and if i could afford it it would be on mine.

BROKEN RECORD..... not worth the time or the hassle. Work on a stand alone fuel management or even a turbo upgrade. The stock compression is fine even for 14 psi.

Took my car to the dealership due to weird noise coming from front passenger brakes and to get the flash. The called me and told me that the rotors were glazed over from the original coating of the brake pads. They sanded the pads and cleaned the rotors. It's fine now but...... Has anyone...

i changed my oil after 1000 miles and again at 4000. I do it every 3000 miles with synthetic- it can't hurt anything. I have just over 6000 miles on mine and i still get about 275-300 miles. Guess i like to get on it!!!

i saw it a while ago on here but someone had a bov flange w/ stock ic piping. of course, it's not worth the trouble- get hard pipes==no swelling of the pipes, and nice bov sound!

you can get all of the above from www.jegs.com. You can get an a/f guage but it won't be useful- I have one in my mustang and alls it does is piss me off, it's like a light show. By the time the car leans out and you notice it--too late, fried pistons. You really only need a boost guage...

nope, it aint worth the money and it won't help power at all.

I'm wanting to get coilovers but don't know the best to get. Ride quality is of no concern- I want the best handling and the most aggressive look. Also, I know the Tein springs are avail. but are the coilovers. I have a 03.5 MSP. Any advice or personal experiences would help me.

Heathen, I live in cary and usually take my msp to Capitol in crossroads, where are you taking yours for the turbo replacement? The last time I changed my oil, I noticed a small spot of oil on the bottom of the turbo but i'm going to see if more builds up before i take it to the dealership...

I'd say depending on your tuning goals to just go with a boost guage. Fuel pressure is nice with an adj. FPR. Oil pressure is the next best because our cars don't have a stock one and if you lose oil pressuer not only will it hurt the motor but the turbo as well. A/F guages annoy the piss out...
