No, everyone wasn't expecting this car to be the way it is. Where do you get that from? And, in case anyone is going to ask what do I mean by "the way it is", is the crap load of exactly the same problems that almost everyone is having. There seem to be a very few lucky ones that have had no...
Even if it can handle a bit more boost, i wouldn't call it a 'turbo' motor, this usually implies the motor has been specifically built for turbo applications. It looks as the the only thing 'beefed' is the shot-peened gearbox, woo...
I bought my MSP at world car. 19800 out the door. NO hassle no nothing. I said I had a trade and told them what they were going to give me for it. They did, even a little bit more. The guy was pretty knowledgeable about the Speed's. Even gave me a mazda speed pen. JR had no probs fixing...

Mercedes-Benz SLK320 6.70 15.0 93.1
hrm. doesn't seem like its some sort of superhero. I ran a 15.1 stock.. hrmm. No way I could beat it.
Can a mod delete the thread. I made it up for fun! Thanks.
I said I WASNT positive if it was a 320, it was a 2 door with a squarish back end. I looked at a couple of pictures and thought the 320 looked like what I had raced, so shut your mouth. Yes, he was racing. He was the one nailing it first.
I believe this was the car it was. I wasn't reading the back of the car, just knew it was a two door coupe with a squarish back end. At least a 2000 or newer. The guy was being a dick and wouldn't let me pass. He was keeping the same speed with the cars next to him. He would speed up to the...
an mbc (manual boost controller) uses a valve system to control the boost, an electronic boost controller uses an electronic solenoid valve, i think they may also use a stepper motor in some cases. This is why you almost always have no spike with an ebc compared to a mbc. A manual is as it...
It's a matter of preference and I'm sure everyone will say something different. Make sure you don't have overly long hoses as this will cause some of the spike. Turbo XS has a nice High Performance Boost controller. It's got a ball and spring mechanism that keeps the pressure out of the...
shimming is just adding some washers between the wastegate actuator and the turbo. It does increase the psi, but for the most part, I don't think it is the best way to go about things. It's much better to get a boost controller.
