Ok my friend told me about shimming the wastegate to add power to a turbo. But what is this and is it safe or is my frind just maing it up ?

shimming is just adding some washers between the wastegate actuator and the turbo. It does increase the psi, but for the most part, I don't think it is the best way to go about things. It's much better to get a boost controller.

I don't think this will work on the the MSP. Our fuel cut is regulated by an airmass sensor and ECU. The wastegate opening later will not likely have any effect as the fuel cut will engage before that any ways.

Like is said. I think........
