Makes sense. For me it wouldn't be a problem since I have all work done at the dealer, including tires and battery. My dealer is pretty good, reasonably priced and no up-sell.Yes, it's a dealer specific thing. I got into a huge debate with some intellectually challenged individual that swore up and down Toyota is providing a 100k mile warranty. I provided screen shots of the official warranty terms from Toyota's website. I went to various Toyota dealer's websites that were advertising this warranty and dug into the fine print. It's aftermarket offering the dealer is throwing in to entice sales. Also, with these types of "warranties", some will require you to have your car serviced at said dealer. Others will require you to exactly on time with your maintenance.
I fully agree.I was until I heard no turbo, no hard controls. Guess I'll keep my 2019 Turbo for now.
My dealer included a limited lifetime powertrain warranty...not sure of the details. The Dealer, they had big signs through out the waiting room. After some more research it may be a specific dealer thing.
I read that they're using a Mazda powertrain, not Toyota.I'm waiting to see the official hybrid specs before I put a deposit down. If they finally use a Toyota-sourced powertrain, it’s an instant buy for me. The current gas mileage is the only thing holding the CX-5 back right now.
Mazda had been quite clear that they will not use Toyota's hybrid for the CX-5 and will instead use their own new Hybrid.I'm waiting to see the official hybrid specs before I put a deposit down. If they finally use a Toyota-sourced powertrain, it’s an instant buy for me. The current gas mileage is the only thing holding the CX-5 back right now.
@Nightraven Welcome and congrats! Appreciate the feedback on the new CX-5...Note you're welcome to start your own thread here, it would be a great way to log and share your ownership experience with the community, post pics etc...Love that color!New to Mazda, and this site. I bought a 26 CX-5 Premium Plus about a week and a half ago. So Far I am super happy with my purchase. I am in my 50s but love new tech. I really like the look of it, inside and out. I went with the red with Tan interior. It is fun to drive and it is the smoothest riding vehicle I've ever owned. I also love the big screen. I drove a cx-70 , cx-50 and the cx-5. The new interior, the tech and big touch screen won me over.
The only minor negatives so far are that it is a slightly under powered for me. Coming from a 6 cylinder Jeep GC its taken some getting used to. I would have preferred a turbo option. Its not horrible, and im just having to learn to drive differently. It is still really fun to drive. Some of the tech stuff has been glitchy and harder to figure out than it should. It could be an issue for someone less tech savvy.
All in all, I am super happy with the purchase!

Lots of them are rolling off the truck here at Anderson in Lincoln today to add to existing stock. This one looks prepped but several still have the plastic wrap on them. Plenty of supply, they are ready to take on Honda/Toyota.
And adding fingerprints all over the screen. While I appreciate the nuances of the touch screen/dial control controversy, keep in mind that pretty much everything printed to date about this change says that Mazda has done an exemplary job of creating this interface.
I'm glad you are happy with the 2025, but you moved down one trim level so I would not say it's the same spec.We just bought a new CX5, but the 2025 model year. Sold our 2021 which we loved and bought the same spec 2025. Couldn't resist the "deal".
How do you know this?I'm glad you are happy with the 2025, but you moved down one trim level so I would not say it's the same spec.
Most likely from a separate thread describing the transaction/experience. It was just a few days ago.How do you know this?
