2026 Mazda CX-5: Who’s actually getting one?

Went to my local dealer and they had one in the show room. New is nice for sure. I certainly like the modern style of the interior but wish it had the same quality of materials the previous model years did.
I am excited to see what the top trim hybrid will be like next year!

Yes, it's a dealer specific thing. I got into a huge debate with some intellectually challenged individual that swore up and down Toyota is providing a 100k mile warranty. I provided screen shots of the official warranty terms from Toyota's website. I went to various Toyota dealer's websites that were advertising this warranty and dug into the fine print. It's aftermarket offering the dealer is throwing in to entice sales. Also, with these types of "warranties", some will require you to have your car serviced at said dealer. Others will require you to exactly on time with your maintenance.
Makes sense. For me it wouldn't be a problem since I have all work done at the dealer, including tires and battery. My dealer is pretty good, reasonably priced and no up-sell.

I was until I heard no turbo, no hard controls. Guess I'll keep my 2019 Turbo for now.
I fully agree.
I just checked them out at a local dealer & while some of the freshening & updates are nice, I also will be keeping my 2019 Turbo.

Great to see people already getting the new CX-5...Who else here has one, would love to see more pics! 📸

I'm waiting to see the official hybrid specs before I put a deposit down. If they finally use a Toyota-sourced powertrain, it’s an instant buy for me. The current gas mileage is the only thing holding the CX-5 back right now.

I read that they're using a Mazda powertrain, not Toyota.

Mazda had been quite clear that they will not use Toyota's hybrid for the CX-5 and will instead use their own new Hybrid.

Yes, Mazda wants a better driving experience so they have their own electric motor/transmission solution. Even if it doesn't achieve the same ultimate economy, it should be close, while being more engaging to drive.
