No problem, thread title and post updated...Now back to the topic...I meant to say CX-5. It's not a 50, so far as I know. CarMax listed it as a five.
I currently have 30.5" on my 2015 CX-5 right now. With +35 offset wheels there is a minor amount of rubbing at the fender liner on the fronts at full steering lock, but that's it. But I also have a 2" lift on it, I'd imagine the rubbing would be a bit worse at factory ride height. But still nothing a little melting/trimming won't fix. It's only a problem when turning though, full clearance when driving normal. Are you sure a 30.5" will fit? That seems really tall. Have you tried it?? Sounds like you have from your very specific comments, got any pics??
I have a spare set of 30.5" tires from another car, and I never even thought of trying something like that on a CX-5.
No that actually makes it worse because the lower the offset number the more the wheel sticks out and the larger the scrub radius is when turning. Factory wheels offset is 50mm, so at 25 the wheel would stick out 1" more (1" = 25.4mm) than factory, plus 1/2 of the extra width of the tire. So with 245 tires you add another 10mm because factory is 225 , so 20mm wider but only 10mm on each side.Nice, looks great. So what you are saying is.. get 25mm offset wheels.
45Factory wheels offset is 50mm
