Tallest 17" tire for the CX-5?

I have a CX-5. What is the tallest sidewall I can fit? I'd prefer to stay narrow. I found some sweet wheels. The owner said they were off a CX-90. Very chrome. Very clean. Going to be my summer wheels.

So are you looking for the largest diameter tire you can fit in the wheel well? Or the tallest sidewall that matches OE rolling diameter on a 16” wheel?

245/70/R17 (30.5" dia.) is the largest that will fit. 265/65/R17 is the same size, just wider. Recommended to have a 1.5"-2" lift on it. And even then you need to do some minor trimming/melting of the fender liner.

Go with 245/65/R17 (29.5" dia.) if you don't want to lift it.

225 is factory width, but hard to find tires larger than factory in that width and rim size.
