What have you done to your P5 today?

Rolled down the window while driving home tonight and heard a whump..whump...whump coming from the PS rear. After dinner, I went out and took a look and found this beauty. So, rather than toss the donut on while it gets plugged I swapped the summer wheels on and took her for a drive. No more whump..whump noise. :)

What do you guys think???

If I might make a suggestion, if you have the inclination, I would try and get rid of that orange bumper marker thats near the aero flap thingy (canniards or something like that...) I think it would look cleaner. But you're in Cali so idk if the safety check would let that fly...

I have sedan headlamps with the orange marker in the light so I could, theoretically, remove my bumper marker. But the work involved and my laziness make it impossible. Besides, it looks like you've taken good care of the paint so I wouldn't want to cock that up :)

^^^or he could source an MSP bumper. Same fit w/o the bumper markers. Of course it would have to be painted classic red and he'd have to swap everything over. Instead, I'd just hit them up with Niteshades.

That would probably be a better idea :D

Didn't think of that!

CEL came back, thought it was just going to be the p0401. I still dont have those non-foulers on. So I checked it, got the p0401 AND p0660. Searched the forums. Checked lines for Vics. Then out of nowhere (under the intake), I found a unplugged plug. Oh s%$t did I messup big time? plugged that in, CEL cam back Ill be seeing if that plug was causing that P0660 tomarrow. Note: that I have been driving around for days without that plugged in. Everything felt ok. >_< Man I am dumb.

^ hey, little goof ups like that happen to all of us. I left a tube disconnected when I started my p5 up. As long as it doesn't hurt, there's no problem :)

Lol so many honda guys buy mazdas and think they can mod them the same and be ok....nope. You will not get any love here, that looks terrible.
What do you have on the car that is advan? Not the wheels, not the tires, so why do you have the sticker?

easy, killer...to each their own...

Enjoyed the great spring weather about time! Took the roof racks off today and cleaned her up!

Waiting for the stores to re-open tomorrow so I can get some plasti dip and do some stupid stuff lol

To each their own is such a stupid saying. Everybody obviously has their own tastes and I'm expressing mine, that's what forums are for "killer"

There is a difference between discussing others' choice in modification, and being over opinionated/flaming people. Vehicle forums were created for much more then simply sharing opinions. Making connections, learning new things about the vehicles that people love to drive and modify, and seeing all the different things people do with their cars are just a few examples. Just because YOU don't like someones car, doesn't mean they "won't get any love here". One of the beautiful things about vehicles and modifying them if you so choose, is that you can do whatever you want. This is what makes everyone's car different and unique. Without this, everyone's car would look the same. It's fine for you to have your own opinion, it's just not necessary to be arrogant about it.

Back to regular programming... Got the Racing Beat cat back installed today.

The quality of this cat back is amazing. The welds and the flanges are top notch quality and line up perfectly, and the gaskets that come with the kit work great.

Luckily my stock reso pipe came off in 2 seconds, so that was nice. Bolted right up!

Sound: Nice low tone, and NO drone at all! I know this cat back is expensive, but it is honestly not as expensive as a lot of other cat back systems for cars I have owned, (i.e. 650 bucks for an apexi ws2 set up) and it is high quality, so I am glad I purchased it. It should last me several years.

9 years! excellent! I seem to be heading in a similar direction, my girlfriend and I hope to keep the protege5 for a long time, and hopefully get a miata in the next year or so!

well to be honest, i just gave the p5 to my son..i've used it as a winter car as the miata stays in the garage during the snow season...and has some rust issues, but still runs great 165k, turbo'd at 65k and it's an autotragic to boot!
love the msm...good luck with your p5!

saw this pretty rust free bad boy "riding high" on the trip home tonight, check out that exhaust!!!
