Is that the new Tial water cooled wastegate?

Do you know why tial went to the water cooled heads? If you read on the subaru forums the new 38mm seized on the cosworth race car and blew the motor. The reason of the wastegate seizing up was the heat was closer to the valve vs. the old longer wastegate..

yes thank you, and thats why the new 44mm watercooled external wastegate was made, its really only for high HP aplications but it nice to have for my car if i ever need it!
 
Pretty good. Sold the p5, picked up the ms3. the p5 engine ended up going a couple months after I sold it, so in a weird way it probably worked out for the best.

looks like this car is gonna be a beast, cant wait to see it. What are you going to do about the differential? weld?

i went by the shop today and F.A.T. was finishing the hotpipe and the external dump pipe, and i just got my cams in today!!!

well looks like im going to have to wait on the cams, the shop wants to wait to do the cam install and the standalone EMS in one shot after i get the inital setup done! everything went off to get ceramic coated on friday morning, car should be done and on the dyno late this week early the week after!
 
Well an update...
the car will be close to being done at the latest early next week...

Dissapointments in the build:
-cams didnt get installed
-626 intake manifold isnt at the shop yet
-cant afford the haltec at this time
-the shop is being lazy and overcharging me by $1000.00

conclusion i will be lucky to see 300whp... the old setup in 9psi that i did myself put down 260 whp.... so $5000.00 for a custom setup that may only gain me 40whp, i hate this car!
 
SOOO Sorry to hear that wish you would have brought it to vegas and had a non rap build money wise...

P.S why are you only putting down 9PSI on a build block? most people put down 9PSI on stock internals... maybe not for long, but they do it :)

i was on my stock fuel system on a larger turbo so only 9 PSI before... now my wastegate is set at 12.5 PSI from a gt30r and the shop dosent think i will see that good of numbers! (excuse me the shop thinks that 280whp is good, i sure as hell dont!!! not for the money i have invested)

the shop is scketchy because the estimant was 4 grand to begin with and now its a total of 5 grand and the cams arent getting installed! im getting over charged for B.S.

F.A.T. does good work but not quoting me right and then not doing the work i ask and them to do and charging me more money really isnt a good way to run a shop i dont care how good your shop is!

cant pull out now i have paid for most of it already, so im screwed, and the shop is just getting lazzier by the day... its almost like they dont give a s*** about the build because its not the normal car for them to build!

its just sad that the car was being aimed for 400whp and i will be lucky to get 300whp, i cant afford the haltek because the shop overcharged me... FML

ok so the car build is not going to plan, but the parts do look good after just getting back from the ceramic coater... i hope this build dosent run into anymore snaggs i just want it done!

so the pics i have the long awaited 626 intake manifold, 2700 degree coated turbo manifold, 1200 degree coated 3"downpipe and screamer pipe and hotside of the turbo!
